About Jay Stone
I created this website to put an end to Chicago’s Olympic bid and corruption. I was a candidate for the Chicago City Council in 2003. Because of Mayor Daley’s illegal patronage workers campaigning against me, the United States federal court declared me a civil rights victim and awarded me financial compensation.  I am the son of Alderman Bernard L. Stone who has been a Chicago city council member for 36 years. My father has also been Mayor Daley’s Vice-Mayor since 1997. I am a former City of Chicago employee.
In April 2000 I found a knife on an airplane. Sixteen months prior to the Sept. 11 terrorists’ attacks I passed the knife I found on an airplane to my then Congressman Rod Blagogevich. I also sent Blagogevich a letter requesting that he lobby the FAA and his colleagues in Congress to stop allowing  weapons on airplanes. I was not seeking publicity or public office when I originally lobbied Congressman Blagojevich for increased airport and airplane safety. The Sept. 11th terrorists attacks created a strong desire in me to serve our country as an elected representative. I initially planned to run for Congress, but I chose not to run because of my then admiration for Rahm Emanuel. Had I run for congress against Emanuel as I originally planned, I would have been a civil rights victim just the same because the political force that illegally worked against me when I ran for alderman also campaigned to elect Emanuel to the U.S. House of Representatives. to email me your comments.

  1. What about your father? He’s one of Daley’s biggest supporters and backs the Olympic bid. Will you be at the Chicago 2016 presentation at Warren Park on 9/16?

    • My father and I often respectfully disagree about Chicago politics, including whether or not a Chicago Olympics is good for Chicago. I won’t be at the Warren Park Chicago 2016 presentation because the meeting is not an open and balanced discussion about a Chicago Olympics. Community outreach should have started before Chicago bid for the Olympics. The hidden motive of the Chicago Olympic Committee’s neighborhood presentations is to show the IOC how it reached out to the community. The COC is reaching out to the community about to the extent the Daley administration reached out to the community before the city signed the parking meter deal. Don’t trust Daley and Daley surrogates.

      • I know it’s a dog and pony show, but I’m planning to go and ask questions. I think it’s worth showing that the community does not support the bid.

      • Carla, I support your decision to attend the “dog and pony show”, but if you say anything critical about a Chicago Olympics the moderator will pull the microphone away from you. Ask a question about Ryan and O’Hallerin’s unethical $100,000 and $25,000 campaign donations to Daley in 2007 or ask about Aon receiving $47 million in city contracts after Aon began donating human services and office space to the Chicago Olympic bid. Ask about Aon’s fines for “conflicts of interests” or “inadequate corruption and bribery controls” and see how quickly you are silenced. Unless you support a Chicago Olympics, the Chicago Olympic Committee doesn’t want your input, the COC only wants the perception that it has reached out to the community. Carla, good luck, and thank you for voicing your opinion.

  3. Jay, I just wanted to alert you to a great website you might or might not be aware of: Windy Citizen. You can stop by at I think you would really enjoy the many discussions we have there and hopefully you’ll participate by posting some of your own writing occasionally. Also, I welcome you to stop by the Daily Daley, a blog on Windy Citizen covering the mayor’s daily schedule as well as what is being written about him in the press, various local politics issues, etc. You can find the Daily Daley at Hope to “see” you around our digital pages.
